Terms of Use
Last updated October 5, 2026
These terms are the agreement between you and Ferrix Ventures ("we", "us") for the Veldi app (they are its end-user licence agreement) and this website. By downloading, buying or using Veldi you agree to them; the app asks you to agree before you start. If you don't agree, don't use Veldi. Nothing in these terms takes away the rights consumer law gives you.
Veldi isn't on sale yet
Today Veldi has no accounts, no free trial and no checkout. The parts of these terms about plans, the trial, payments and Macs apply from the day Pro goes on sale; they're here now so you can read them in advance.
Free and Pro
Measuring is free, acting is Pro, and undo is always free. The free features — the disk overview, cleanup previews with exact sizes, Photos and Cloud status, the app list and update list, the performance readouts, History and Put Back — need no account and no payment, for as long as you use Veldi.
Pro unlocks the features that change your Mac: running a cleanup, clearing the search journals Photos leaves behind, making cloud files online-only, uninstalling and resetting apps, removing leftovers and previous versions of apps, and priority email support. You get Pro with the free trial, a subscription (Pro Monthly or Pro Annual) or a one-time purchase (Veldi 1 — one-time purchase).
Your licence
We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable licence to install and use Veldi on Macs you own or control, for your own use or your own business. Veldi is licensed, not sold: we keep all rights not expressly granted here.
Subscriptions. Pro Monthly and Pro Annual include the latest version of Veldi, including new major versions, for as long as the subscription is active.
One-time purchase. Veldi 1 — one-time purchase gives you a perpetual licence to Veldi 1 — every 1.x version and update we release. It doesn't include a later major version (Veldi 2 and onwards); if we release one, we may offer you an upgrade price, and Veldi 1 keeps working for you whether or not you upgrade.
Macs. Each account can use Pro on up to 3 Macs at a time. You can remove a Mac from your account to use Pro on another; if you need to do that often, email us. A one-time licence key is for you alone, on up to 3 Macs.
You may not resell, rent, lend, sublicense or share Veldi, your account or your licence key.
Free trial
The free trial gives you 14 days of full Pro, with no card required. There is one trial per account and one per Mac. When it ends, Pro features stop until you buy a plan; nothing is charged, nothing you did is undone, and the free features — including Put Back — keep working.
Subscriptions: renewal and cancellation
Pro Monthly renews every month and Pro Annual every year, automatically, at the price you agreed to at checkout, until you cancel. We'll email you before each annual renewal.
You can cancel at any time from your account or by emailing us. Cancelling stops the next renewal: you keep Pro until the end of the period you've paid for, and then Veldi returns to the free features. You can ask for a refund of any payment within the refund period (see the Refund Policy).
If we change the price of a subscription, we'll email you at least 30 days before the change applies to you, and you can cancel before then.
If a renewal payment fails, Pro stays on while the payment is retried for a short time; if it can't be collected, the subscription ends.
Checking your licence
Pro needs your Mac to check your licence with our server now and then: when Veldi starts or wakes, about once a day while it runs, and before it starts a batch of changes, whenever it's online. If a Mac connected to your account can't check for a long time — 14 days for a subscription, 60 days for a one-time purchase — Pro features pause on that Mac until it can check again. A one-time licence key pasted into Veldi works offline. Nothing is deleted, and the free features keep working.
Prices, payment and who sells to you
Prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout, and include tax. Payments are processed by Stripe. If checkout runs on Stripe Managed Payments, the Stripe company named at checkout and on your receipt is the seller of your purchase (merchant of record) and handles payment, tax, receipts and invoices; these terms still govern your licence to use Veldi, and we remain responsible for Veldi itself and for support.
The contract, and what Veldi needs
These terms are available in English and Spanish, and you can make the contract in either. We keep a record of when you accepted them, and once checkout exists we'll email you these terms with your purchase; this page always shows the current version and its date.
Veldi requires macOS 26 Tahoe or later, on a Mac with Apple silicon. Intel Macs aren't supported.
Your right of withdrawal (EU and UK consumers)
If you're a consumer in the EU or the UK, the law normally gives you 14 days to withdraw from an online purchase. For digital content and digital services that start immediately at your request, like a Veldi plan, that right ends once the supply starts, if you asked for it to start straight away and acknowledged that you'd lose the right.
So at checkout we ask you to expressly agree that your plan starts immediately and to acknowledge that you therefore lose the right of withdrawal. We confirm that agreement in the email we send after your purchase.
This doesn't leave you worse off: our Refund Policy gives you 30 days to ask for your money back on any purchase or renewal, no questions asked.
Veldi changes your Mac — you decide what
Veldi removes the files, apps and data you select. Before any change it shows you exactly what it will remove and how much space it will free. You decide what to select, and you're responsible for that choice.
You choose in Settings whether Veldi moves removed items to the Trash or deletes them immediately. Only items moved to the Trash can be put back, from History, and only until the Trash is emptied. Items deleted immediately are gone for good: Veldi cannot restore them, and neither can we.
Making files online-only leaves them only in your cloud account; whether they stay there is up to your cloud provider. Uninstalling an app removes it and the files you select with it. When Veldi updates another app, it installs the version that app's developer publishes; that software and its licence are the developer's, not ours.
Keep a current backup, such as Time Machine, and review what you select before you clean up. Veldi checks every item again before removing it and refuses to touch what it shouldn't, but no tool can know what matters to you.
Third-party services
Some features rely on others: Apple's App Store lookup, Homebrew and other developers' update feeds for Updates, and your cloud provider for Cloud. They are run by those parties, under their own terms, and may change or stop. We aren't responsible for their content or availability.
Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile or disassemble Veldi except where the law expressly allows it; not to get around its licence checks; not to remove or alter its notices; and not to use Veldi unlawfully or to infringe anyone's rights.
Updates and availability
We may release updates, and features may be added, changed or removed over time. If you're a consumer, we'll keep your plan's features in conformity with these terms for as long as the law requires, and we won't remove a main Pro feature you've paid for — during a subscription period, or from Veldi 1 — without telling you and, where the law gives you the right, letting you end the contract and get a pro-rata refund.
Warranty
If you're a consumer, you have the legal guarantee of conformity for digital content: Veldi must work as described. If it doesn't, tell us and we'll fix it or, if we can't, refund you. Nothing in these terms limits that guarantee or any other right consumer law gives you.
Beyond what the law requires, Veldi is provided "as is". We work hard to make it reliable, but we don't promise that it will be free of errors or suit every purpose.
Liability
We are liable without limit for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, for wilful misconduct and gross negligence, and wherever else the law doesn't allow liability to be limited.
If you're a consumer, we're liable for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of these terms, but not for loss you could have avoided by following them — for example, by reviewing what you selected before removing it, or by keeping a backup.
If you use Veldi for business, to the extent the law allows we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profits, business or data, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us for Veldi in the 12 months before the claim.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using Veldi at any time, and delete your account once accounts exist. If you seriously breach these terms we may end your licence after telling you why; a subscription you've paid for is then refunded pro rata, unless the breach was fraud or abuse. The sections that by their nature should survive — such as Liability — survive.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms; we'll change the date above, and the app will ask you to agree to the new version. For material changes that affect a subscription, we'll email you beforehand, and they apply from your next renewal — you can cancel before then.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you're a consumer, you also keep the protection of the mandatory consumer laws of the country where you live, and you can bring a claim in the courts there or in Spain.
If you use Veldi for business, the courts of Ferrix Ventures's domicile in Spain have exclusive jurisdiction.
If something goes wrong, please email us first at hello@ferrix.ventures; most problems are solved that way.
